I write this letter of praise for Nola McCaleb with great ease and gratitude in my heart for knowing her. I met Nola in our children’s shared parent participation preschool in 2014. As an empath myself, and as an incredibly sensitive mother with my own sensitive child, I was drawn to Nola’s gentle nature, shared sense of humor, and nourishing presence around both adults and children. Our friendship grew, and ultimately, I had the honor to work with her and receive her work with my child in numerous capacities.
Nola helped my son with his academic tutoring, particularly through the lens of her Waldorf/Steiner studies. She knows how to develop a rapport with every child she works with, and so it was with my child. Without creating any overt pressure, she drew him in to various practices to help supplement his brain / heart development. He loved her, always, and grew in her presence without a doubt. I have always trusted Nola 100% with my child’s growth, and with the growth of others. She is intuitive, well-versed and studied, devoted, gentle, and so reliable.
Nola is a woman devoted to her passions, and I have always seen her accomplish with Grace and deep care what she puts her heart into. She lives by her own very clear values that always center children, mothers, care, and what is right. Her moral compass is strong. Her will is ironclad. The beauty of her gentleness is difficult to match. The work that she continues to bring into the world is exactly what humanity is calling out for —- collective care, thoughtful community collaboration with passionate humans, and thinking outside the box for the new world that is being called-for. She is a free and radical thinker in all the best ways. What she is about to build will change many lives, beyond the many she has already impacted in truly meaningful ways. The children need Nola. The parents need Nola. Humanity needs Nola.
